Real stories of women and a call to start the new year with hope
Violence has many faces, and each of them hurts. Behind In the new each case is a hidden story of a woman who needs our attention and support. In 2024, we implemented many initiatives aimed at supporting women in their recovery. It is no coincidence that we planted 16 sakura trees as symbols of renewal and new life, together with women who found protection and help from us.
The issue of violence is not only about its recognition

Thanks to the efforts of public organizations and charitable foundations, Ukrainian women receive assistance, and in 2022 the Ukrainian Parliament adopted important changes: it ratified the Istanbul disadvantages of regulations and ways to overcome them Convention. This was a significant step that allowed us to comprehensively combat all forms of violence. There are platforms to help women.
For example, the SafeWomenHUB online platform has been providing support to women and girls who have experienced various forms of violence, as well as women and girls at risk, for more than two years.
During the existence of the platform
From April 2022 to December 2024, more than 20,000 women and girls have awb directory contacted the platform’s specialists, and almost 50,000 services (psychological, social, legal) have been provided. Among these appeals are complex cases: 1,301 clients who have experienced various forms of violence, including 117 who have survived conflict-related sexual violence. And this is just one platform.
